A Recipe for Instant Energy Soup

So, the holidays are officially behind us… and if you’re like me, you’ve settled back into your routine, which may include a few New Year’s resolutions that you’re determined to keep.

A popular resolution among women (and men for that matter) is to be more conscious of what we’re putting in our bodies so we can shed those few extra holiday pounds and stay on the path to optimal health and wellness. Well, I have a special treat for you.

My friend, Andrew Kissée, authored an amazing cookbook full of Gluten, Dairy and Sugar-Free recipes. According to his research, cutting out these 3 foods is the fastest way to lose weight, reduce bloating and double your energy naturally.

His cookbook is called: The Instant Energy Recipe Book: Over 100 Recipes For Health And Energy and he has agreed to allow me to share one of my favorite recipes from the book with you… it’s called: “Instant Energy Soup”. And who couldn’t use some of that, right?

“Instant Energy Soup”

Ingredients:
1 large head of cabbage
1 28oz can of peeled tomatoes
6 green onions
2 green peppers
1/2 lbs of green beans
1 bunch of celery
3 carrots
1/2 bunch of fresh dill
1/2 bunch of fresh parsley
1 tbsp of garlic salt
1 quart Chicken or Vegetable Stock
2 cups cooked chicken (optional)

Preparation:
Cut first 7 ingredients into small pieces, place in a large saucepan with Stock and fill with cold water. Cook for about 30 minutes, or until the vegetables become tender. Add parsley and dill also cut into small pieces. Add garlic salt and pepper to taste. This soup can be eaten every day.
